This is cool. I have never had the opportunity to see or photograph a bald eagle outside of a zoo. you are very lucky for this opportunity! if I were you and had some resolution to work with, I would have cropped this and really gotten into this image. also, I would have adjusted the exposure a bit.

This is a cracking great shot! I am certainly jealous and happy for you. I do think you could drop the level on highlights a ouch, which would really make the colors a bit richer and the headress pop better! Great work, did you use a better-beamer to fill in under wings or was there snow or water that reflected the light up?
