Floating along
I thought about cropping this more but I thought that cutting the water out too much hurt the shot.

Great shot. I love the colors in the duck. The clarity of the reflection is beautiful. Over all nice shot.

Great clarity and I love the slight ripple in the water. Nicely done.

Sorry I see nothing special about the shot..It's a nice shot but I have a million of these from my local park. If you were to reshoot this, position the duck to the left so it has room to swim to the right in the photo. Try to never center the subject in the frame.

Thanks for the comments. As for it being overexposed it may be but I think that it's just personal preference .The lighting is completely natural. In response to Jonesy, I admit that most people don't have to travel too far to see a duck but it just said wildlife not exotic wildlife and it is indeed wild. Also about it being center and showing movement you may be right as a novice I can't argue with you. However it wasn't swinging it was just floating near the center of a 4 acre lake. It's head was flat against it's back in other shots that came out a little out of focus. Either way I appreciate all the input, keep it coming. Your experience and knowledge isn't waisted on me.

Nice shot. The ripple on the water really enhances the photo.

This is an allright shot, but the dead center placement and overexposure it is overexposed, just look in highlights hurt it's drama and emotional appeal. What appears to be weird ripples in water make it look artifical to me., the ripples should go all way across in whole lines, they should not have gaps where they do, looks like a filter applied postprocessing to me.

OK, I get the overexposed part. However I don't understand the problem with the ripples!! What do you mean ripples go all the way across not broke up?!? Have you ever seen water? Do you mean to tell me that if there is a wave in the ocean that it goes all the way across the entire ocean??? Water doesn't move a certain way it moves however it pleases. Other the cropping which I seemed to have messed up this photo is in its original state.

The only thing I find weird is that you've gotten 50 votes in the last hour alone starting at midnight eastern standard time. And your the only one getting votes on the entire first page.
