It's GREAT to see a well thought out and a well executed image be in the top spot in this contest! Well Done. I agree sometimes, well most of the time, the best images are not the front runners because of the lack of friends on Myspace or Facebook. You have my vote and it's in my collection. Keep shooting. Thanks Justin and JCM! I agree, there is a propensity for snapshots that are horrible technically and artistically to rocket to the top here, and I would certainly doubt that TheShot would want those types of images representing them! I hope, whether it is my image or someone else's image that wins and gets selected for Wildlife, that at least it is technically sound and artistically excellent! I really appreciate your patronage of my work, take care! CHEERS

I have to agree it doesn't matter where you took it , what does matter is the image and how you put it togther, composition, color, point of focus subject expression ...of which you did a great job.

Isn't it funny how the leaders in every other contest were all accused of cheating, but this one hasn't been. This picture has double the votes of any winner and no one seems to care. I agree this is a good photo I'm just shocked that it hasn't been attacked.

See, ok, this is an awesome picture and let me tell you the otter is my favorite animal, but when you have over 1000 votes on day 2 yeah, I'm a little suspect. This picture is the same idea as http//theshotspot.com/photos/view/42118 but the picture above is all blurred everywhere and the linked picture is clear as day. Both had to predict where the animal would pop up next, so I guess I just wonder about these contests all together. It doesn't matter who's in first place, Russell will pick his fav from the top 5 so why the rat race to have so many? Sorry, there's my vent for the day.
