Bedtime Story
A photo of my youngest daughter reading her bedtime story. A flash placed inside the book, and fired wirelessly make the story come to life.

Nope, I don't mind if you borrow it. I wasn't the first to do a shot like this. I saw the technique on Nikonians.org, and I'm pretty sure the guy I saw do it found the technique on strobist.com Have fun.

Wow, I am amazed this photo isn't in the top 5. Clearly something is wrong, especially as I review some of the photos there. I think this is among the best in the kid's contest. Hopefully being on the first page, will at least provide you with the recognition you so deserve. Good luck and happy holidays!

Better yet... being on the front page, will hopefully get this into the top 5...come on photographers and critics, don't you think this belongs up there to be judged by Russell? Be fair, if you are going to vote for yourself, vote for this one as well and keep it in the top 5, once there.

Thanks for the support funphoto. Unfortunately, as long as I'm not playing the game as the 1000 plus vote photographers, this shot will never make the top 5. There are too many photographers above me in a voting war with themselves to keep up with. Unfortunately the site administration doesn't see the obvious, and look farther than top 5. Seeing how the voting goes on this site, I think this will be the last contest I enter. I'm actually surprised this photo has done so much better than my Round 'n Round photo. I think that one evokes more emotion when viewing it. Oh well. Thanks anyway.

Believe me, I've been voting for this photo, as well as my family and friends since I found it back with only 5 votes or so. Its a great photo, much better than others at the top.

Thanks for the support Cherokee. I would like to see it pull a top 5. Who knows. I guess it could happen. I've been surprised it's gotten as many votes as it has already. Does this thing end at midnight, or does it go through the 7th?

This is an excellent shot. You deserve to be on top and it is refreshing to see a great concept well executed actually get the votes recognition it deserves. The lighting is perfect and the pose and composition are grade A. I wish you all the best and personally would give you the win if I were judging. Respectfully George
