Dude!!Why do you feel the need to try and bash other people because of their talent...?? London is very artistic in what she does and it's her vision that makes her stand out..My question is this If your work has lots and lots of years put into....Why aren't you in the top five???makes you think doesn't itSleep on it awhile....I'll waitLOLGood luck and Don't hate ....You Hater=

Dedra Tate, AKA London, I apologize if I in some way offended you. My critique was not intended to hurt your feelings but to simple point out where I felt you might improve. It is truly unfortunate that one has not developed the ability to accept constructive criticism with out taking it as a personal attack and retaliating. I will no longer critique your work. Best wishes George

this so called dedratate critique just led me to that london picture and i read all the comments and i feel seriously drained by that whole experience. i really wish there was a button where you could flag people. anyway i like your Dusty picture and Hollywood at night photograph the best out of what you have on the site. As far as this picture i dont think its as strong.

I like the clean sharp look of this photograph. There are many very artistic and interpretive portraits in this contest but I totally love the clean professional look of this one. It is so rare to see someone do quality black and white portraits today and do them well. Great job!

not a really strong self-portrait here. no revelation or story.. almost hard to believe this is same photographer of dusty image. seems like people are just voting for themselves on this site- not a great way to build a professional reputation.

Great Portrait!Partick I disagree with your statement that there is no revelation or story with this portrait. The maker is obviously a highly skilled studio photographer. He has revealed himself as some one you can trust and rely upon to create a great portrait. This category is self-portrait, whos to say what form they should take. If I wanted a portrait of myself I can see that I could trust him to create am image of me that would make me look good. Isnt there a place for just good clean well lite and posed portraits?

This is an excellent portrait. You deserve to win this category. You have controlled your highlight and shadow placement and foreground background separation skillfully. Several of the top five images are interesting but none of them come close to your technical ability. Good Luck
