This shot lack in composition and lighting. How did it get voted so high?

It's sad to vote for yourself so many times to try to win this contest. Josh is right, it is lacking composition and you should have fixed your horizon. This by far doesn't deserve to win. Stop trying to make it.

I do like how the long exposure turned out, but I agree with everyone. The composition is poor, and the image needs to be straightened out.

Agreed with everyone here...also to add that the color seems a bit hazy and off. As a photographer myself, I'd applaud your effort if you didn't vote for yourself so many times to try to get a win out of it. A true photographer and artist recognizes both the good and the bad of his/her work, and always strives to be better...s/he doesn't just vote for himself/herself over and over again in a web contest.

I voted for this image. What's wrong with you people? Have you heard of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM? Perhaps he didn't vote for himself, but actually has people who like myself appreciate something that's a little different? DavidVasquez - I actually enjoy the angle that you have here. I like the haze, I like the streaks, and I like the color. That said, I voted for this as an artistic piece, and am not sure I would use it as an architectural piece for my brochure. As an artist though, I like the motion it has... it creates a feeling of anxiety, and reminds me of how busy we are...

you can see that he voted for himself that many times by clicking on contests after clicking on his picture. When he has only one picture on here and 4 people have voted including himself and it says he has voted over 400 times... it doesn't take a genius.

This is pretty but if you would have stood somewhere else and got that ugly concrete slab out of there and maybe more of the building and surrounding lights it would have been better.
